Recruiting software in 2026 splits into three jobs: finding people (sourcing), running them through a process (ATS), and keeping relationships warm between roles (CRM). Most vendors do one well and bolt on the other two. This guide compares 15 recruiting software platforms across those jobs, with the price each one actually charges as of October 2026, the billing basis behind that price, and who each tool suits. We build one of them (MindHunt AI) and say so where it matters.

How We Evaluated These Tools

Five criteria, applied to every entry:

  1. Pricing transparency and billing basis. Does the vendor publish a price? Is it per user, per employee, flat per month, or a quote? Monthly and annual rates differ by 10–24% at most of these vendors, so we name which one we quote.
  2. Sourcing depth. Can the tool find candidates who have not applied: profile search, contact enrichment, outreach? Or does it only manage inbound applications?
  3. ATS and pipeline depth. Job posting, career site, pipeline stages, scorecards, scheduling, offers, compliance.
  4. Integrations and channels. Job boards, HRIS, calendars, and the channels you can reach a candidate on from inside the tool (email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram).
  5. Fit by team size. A flat $299 per month is cheap for a 20-person team and expensive for a solo recruiter; a per-user price does the reverse.

What we did not do: we did not accept paid placements, and we did not run a full trial of all 15 products. Prices come from each vendor’s own pricing page where one exists, and from published third-party purchase data where it does not. Every price is marked “checked October 2026” in the table, and the vendor page is linked so you can re-check. MindHunt AI is our own product. It sits first because the list is organised by category (sourcing first, then ATS, then enterprise suites), not because we scored it highest on every criterion. Its limitations are listed like everyone else’s.

The 15 Best Recruiting Software Platforms in 2026

1. MindHunt AI — Best for AI Sourcing and Multi-Channel Outreach

Overview: MindHunt AI is an AI recruiting platform built around outbound: it gives recruiters search access to 297M+ professional profiles, reveals verified emails and phone numbers, writes personalised outreach, and runs the candidate through a Kanban pipeline. It also has an inbound side: a free job board, an applicant inbox, and AI screening of applications. It was built by a recruiter for agencies and lean in-house teams, and it is priced per seat rather than per company.

Key features:

  • AI search (describe the candidate in plain language) plus an Advanced search with Boolean, title, skills and location filters
  • Search through your own LinkedIn account on paid plans, with daily limits that protect the account
  • Contact finder: one contact credit reveals a verified email or a phone number
  • Outreach from a connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox, with sequences, open and click tracking, bounce detection and reply detection
  • LinkedIn invites and messages sent through your own connected account, WhatsApp messaging, and Telegram outreach, all from the candidate’s profile
  • AI-personalised messages generated from the candidate’s profile and the job description
  • Chrome extension that imports a LinkedIn profile into the pipeline in one click
  • Kanban pipeline per position, team tagging, and a client CRM for agencies
  • Free public job board with a careers page per position, an apply-by-email address, Djinni sync and AI screening of every application
  • Funnel analytics with shareable client reports

Pricing (checked October 2026): Lite is $29 per seat per month: the full ATS, job board and the own-LinkedIn search lane, with search and contact credits bought as you go. Pro is $49 per seat per month and includes 500 search credits and 100 contact credits per seat every month. Annual billing takes 20% off, and three or more seats take 20% off monthly billing. Every signup gets a 14-day trial with full access and 100 search plus 20 contact credits, then a permanent free tier. Full detail on the pricing page.

Best for: Recruitment agencies, independent recruiters and in-house teams whose bottleneck is finding and reaching passive candidates, not managing applications.

Pros: Sourcing, contact data, outreach and pipeline in one tool; five outreach channels (email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, phone) without separate subscriptions; per-seat pricing that a solo recruiter can afford; monthly billing with no annual lock-in.

Cons: Not an HRIS: no onboarding, payroll or employee records. The LinkedIn search lane is paid-plan only, and WhatsApp is a $12 per month add-on per connected number. Smaller integration catalogue than Greenhouse or Workable.

2. Greenhouse — Best Enterprise ATS

Overview: Greenhouse is the reference ATS for structured hiring. Interview kits, scorecards and a decision process that forces every interviewer to rate the same things make it the default for companies that hire in volume and care about consistency. It has the deepest integration marketplace in the category.

Key features:

  • Structured interview kits and scorecards
  • Hundreds of pre-built integrations, including every major HRIS and assessment vendor
  • DEI reporting and anonymised take-home tests
  • Greenhouse Onboarding as an add-on
  • Candidate-facing AI (application summaries, scheduling) added across 2025–2026

Pricing (checked October 2026): No published price list. Greenhouse sells Core, Plus and Pro on annual contracts priced by headcount. Published purchase data from third-party buyers puts contracts anywhere from the low five figures for a small Core deal to $60,000 and above; buyer-reported medians range from about $27,000 to $62,500 a year depending on the dataset.

Best for: Mid-market and enterprise companies with hiring managers who need to be kept honest by a process.

Pros: Best-in-class structured hiring, reporting and integrations; strong compliance tooling.

Cons: Expensive for small teams, a steep setup, and no sourcing of its own: you still need LinkedIn Recruiter or a sourcing tool in front of it.

3. Lever — Best Combined ATS and CRM for Mid-Market

Overview: Lever was the first ATS to treat candidates as relationships rather than applications, pairing a pipeline with nurture campaigns in one record. It has been part of Employ (alongside JazzHR and Jobvite) since 2022, and now sells as Lever Hire with LeverTRM for the CRM side.

Key features:

  • Unified ATS and CRM with one candidate record
  • Nurture campaigns and talent pools
  • Visual pipeline analytics and DEI insights
  • Interview scheduling and self-scheduling links
  • Automation workflows

Pricing (checked October 2026): Quote only, annual contracts. Buyer reports put the floor around $6,700 per year for small teams, with a median negotiated contract near $15,400.

Best for: 50–1,000-employee companies that re-engage past candidates and want hiring managers in the tool.

Pros: Clean interface, real CRM features, good candidate experience.

Cons: Less configurable than Greenhouse; innovation has slowed since the Employ acquisition; no outbound sourcing.

4. Workable — Best Mid-Market ATS for Fast Setup

Overview: Workable is the ATS most small and mid-sized companies can roll out in a week. One-click posting to 200+ job boards, an AI screening assistant, built-in video interviews and assessments, and an optional HR module make it the broadest flat-price package on this list.

Key features:

  • Job distribution to 200+ boards in one click
  • AI Recruiter for sourcing suggestions and screening summaries
  • Video interviews, assessments and texting as add-ons
  • Careers page builder and employee referrals
  • Optional HR module (onboarding, time off, documents)

Pricing (checked October 2026): The old $149 Starter tier is gone. Standard is $299 per month and Premier $599 per month for companies with 1–20 employees, with both scaling by headcount; Enterprise is $719 per month at that size. Add-ons run $39–$109 per month each. See workable.com/pricing.

Best for: Growing companies that need job distribution and a clean process more than deep customisation.

Pros: Fast setup, broad feature set, transparent pricing.

Cons: Reporting is thinner than Greenhouse or Ashby; the price climbs quickly with headcount and add-ons.

5. LinkedIn Recruiter — Best Sourcing Database

Overview: LinkedIn Recruiter is the largest professional database you can search, with Boolean filters, InMail and Projects for pipeline organisation. It is a sourcing database, not an ATS: pipeline management is thin and every message runs through LinkedIn’s own inbox.

Key features:

  • 1B+ member database with advanced filters
  • InMail allowance per seat (30 on Lite, 100–150 on Professional and Corporate)
  • Projects and pipelines
  • Recruiter System Connect to sync with an ATS
  • AI-assisted search and messaging (Recruiter 2024 interface)

Pricing (checked October 2026): Recruiter Lite is $170 per month on an annual contract or $270 month to month. Professional and Corporate are quoted, and run $750–$1,080 per seat per month on annual contracts. We break the tiers down in our LinkedIn Recruiter pricing guide.

Best for: Teams whose entire funnel starts on LinkedIn and who can absorb a per-seat price above $700.

Pros: Unmatched database, strong filters, candidates expect to hear from you there.

Cons: Expensive, weak pipeline management, InMail quotas, and no contact data outside LinkedIn. Most teams on this list pair it with an ATS or replace it with a LinkedIn Recruiter alternative.

6. BambooHR — Best HR Suite with Recruiting Built In

Overview: BambooHR is an HRIS first. Its ATS is competent rather than deep, but hired candidates flow straight into onboarding, employee records, time off and payroll, which is why SMBs that want one HR system pick it.

Key features:

  • Built-in ATS with mobile hiring app
  • Onboarding, e-signature and offer letters
  • Core HRIS, time tracking, benefits and payroll modules
  • Performance management
  • Reporting across HR and hiring

Pricing (checked October 2026): Published: Core $10, Pro $17 and Elite $25 per employee per month. Companies with 25 or fewer employees pay a flat $250 (Core), $425 (Pro) or $650 (Elite) per month instead. Details at bamboohr.com/pricing.

Best for: 25–500-employee companies that hire a few people a month and want HR and recruiting in one place.

Pros: One system for the whole employee lifecycle, friendly interface, published pricing, solid support.

Cons: A basic ATS next to a dedicated one; no sourcing; per-employee pricing means you pay for people you are not hiring.

7. JazzHR — Best Budget ATS for Small Business

Overview: JazzHR (part of Employ) is the cheapest full ATS on this list, priced by the number of open jobs rather than users. Unlimited users on every plan makes it the natural pick for a small company where hiring managers do most of the work.

Key features:

  • Unlimited users on every plan
  • Job board syndication and a careers page
  • Candidate scoring, interview guides and scheduling
  • Offer letters, with e-signature as an add-on
  • EEO/OFCCP compliance reporting

Pricing (checked October 2026): Hero $1,000, Plus $3,480 and Pro $5,508 per year billed annually, which works out to about $83, $290 and $459 a month; monthly billing costs up to 24% more. Hero starts at three job postings a month, Plus and Pro allow up to 200 active jobs. JazzHR raised prices in February 2026, so older comparisons under-quote it. See jazzhr.com/pricing.

Best for: Companies under 100 employees with a few open roles at a time.

Pros: Lowest entry price for a real ATS, unlimited users, quick to learn.

Cons: Thin reporting, the small job-posting allowance on Hero, and no sourcing.

8. SmartRecruiters — Best Enterprise Talent Acquisition Suite

Overview: SmartRecruiters is a global talent acquisition suite with a marketplace of 600+ partner integrations and CRM, recruitment marketing and an AI assistant (Winston) in the box. SAP completed its acquisition of SmartRecruiters in September 2025, and it is now sold alongside SAP SuccessFactors, which matters if you are already an SAP shop.

Key features:

  • Global hiring with multi-language, multi-currency and local compliance
  • Winston AI for screening and recruiter assistance
  • Partner marketplace (assessments, background checks, video)
  • CRM and recruitment marketing
  • Native SAP SuccessFactors path since the 2025 acquisition

Pricing (checked October 2026): Quote only. Buyer reports put the Essential tier from about $15,000 per year, with larger enterprise contracts well into six figures.

Best for: Enterprises hiring across several countries, especially existing SAP customers.

Pros: Enterprise scale, global compliance, broad marketplace.

Cons: Long implementation, high cost, and roadmap now tied to SAP priorities.

9. Ashby — Best Modern ATS for Tech Companies

Overview: Ashby is the ATS tech scale-ups moved to after Greenhouse and Lever. It combines ATS, scheduling, CRM and the best built-in analytics in the category, with an API-first design that engineering-led talent teams like.

Key features:

  • Analytics and custom reporting built in, no BI tool needed
  • Scheduling automation across interviewer loads
  • CRM and sourcing extension
  • Highly configurable workflows and permissions
  • Public API and webhooks

Pricing (checked October 2026): Foundations is $400 per month for companies up to 100 employees (about $360 on annual billing), priced by headcount band above that; Plus and Enterprise are quoted. See ashbyhq.com/pricing.

Best for: 50–2,000-employee tech companies with a talent team that reads its own data.

Pros: Best analytics on the list, modern UX, fast product cadence.

Cons: Fewer integrations than Greenhouse, no plan below $400 per month, and no sourcing database of its own.

10. Zoho Recruit — Best Value ATS and CRM for Agencies

Overview: Zoho Recruit ships two editions: a corporate ATS and a staffing-agency edition with client and placement management. Both are inexpensive, integrate with the rest of Zoho, and carry AI matching and resume parsing on the paid tiers.

Key features:

  • ATS and CRM in one, with client portals in the staffing edition
  • AI candidate matching and resume parsing
  • Source boosters (job board multiposting, social sourcing)
  • Careers page and candidate portal
  • Zoho People, Zoho CRM and Zoho Mail integration

Pricing (checked October 2026): Staffing edition: Standard $25, Professional $50 and Enterprise $75 per user per month on annual billing ($30, $60 and $90 monthly). The corporate HR edition is priced in the same range. A free plan allows one active job, and annual billing saves up to 16%. See zoho.com/recruit/pricing.

Best for: Small agencies and budget-conscious in-house teams, especially existing Zoho customers.

Pros: Lowest per-user price for a full ATS+CRM, free plan, agency features included.

Cons: Dated interface, support quality varies, and sourcing is limited to boards and social imports.

11. hireEZ — Best AI Sourcing for Enterprise Outbound

Overview: hireEZ (formerly Hiretual) searches a billion-plus profiles across 45+ platforms on the open web and inside your own ATS. Its Rediscovery feature, which resurfaces past applicants for new roles, is the reason enterprise teams with large legacy databases buy it.

Key features:

  • AI sourcing across 45+ platforms and data sources
  • ATS Rediscovery of past applicants
  • Contact finding and sequenced outreach
  • Diversity and healthcare-specialty filters
  • Market insights and talent mapping

Pricing (checked October 2026): No public price list. Buyer reports put it at $169–$250 per user per month on annual contracts, with enterprise deals priced on volume. Full breakdown in our hireEZ review.

Best for: Enterprise sourcing teams sitting on a large ATS database.

Pros: Deep AI search, Rediscovery, built-in outreach.

Cons: Not an ATS; opaque pricing; contact accuracy varies by region.

12. iCIMS — Best for High-Volume Recruiting

Overview: iCIMS is the enterprise ATS for organisations that hire thousands of people a year: retail, healthcare, logistics. Its Talent Cloud adds career sites, text recruiting, video and a CRM around the core ATS, and it acquired Apli in 2025 to extend its AI screening for hourly hiring.

Key features:

  • High-volume application handling and automation
  • Career site builder and recruitment marketing
  • Text and video recruiting
  • CRM and internal mobility
  • Compliance and audit tooling for regulated industries

Pricing (checked October 2026): Quote only, priced by headcount on annual contracts. Published buyer data puts the average contract near $20,000 per year, with large enterprises far above that.

Best for: Organisations making 500+ hires a year with compliance requirements.

Pros: Scale, compliance, breadth of modules.

Cons: Complex implementation, high cost, slower interface than newer ATSs.

13. Recruit CRM — Best ATS and CRM for Staffing Agencies

Overview: Recruit CRM is built for agencies rather than in-house teams: candidates, clients, jobs and placements live in one system, with Kanban workflows, AI resume parsing, email sequencing and a Chrome extension for sourcing. It is rated 4.9/5 on Capterra and, as of October 2026, ranks on the first page of Google for “recruitment software” on its own.

Key features:

  • Candidate and client CRM with placement and invoice tracking
  • Customisable Kanban pipelines
  • AI resume parsing and job-to-candidate matching
  • Email sequences and a LinkedIn sourcing extension
  • Workflow automation and reporting

Pricing (checked October 2026): Pro $95, Business $135 and Enterprise $215 per user per month on annual billing ($109, $159 and $259 monthly), with a free trial. See recruitcrm.io/pricing. We compare it with other agency CRMs in our recruitment agency CRM guide.

Best for: Staffing and executive search firms with 2–50 recruiters.

Pros: Agency workflow out of the box, strong support, transparent per-user pricing.

Cons: Per-user cost adds up for larger firms; sourcing relies on the extension and your own LinkedIn account; no contact enrichment included.

14. Gem — Best Recruiting CRM for Proactive In-House Teams

Overview: Gem started as a sourcing CRM and has grown into an all-in-one with an ATS, scheduling and analytics. Its sequences, Chrome extension and pipeline analytics remain the best reason to buy it, and it restructured pricing in 2025 to add published startup tiers.

Key features:

  • Talent CRM with multi-step email sequences
  • Chrome extension for LinkedIn sourcing
  • Pipeline analytics and forecasting
  • AI sourcing and candidate rediscovery
  • Optional ATS and scheduling modules

Pricing (checked October 2026): Published: a Startups plan at $270 per month flat for companies up to 100 employees (discounted to about $130 under 10 people, and free for six months under 30), and agency tiers at $99 and $149 per user per month on annual billing. Growth and Enterprise are quoted, and buyer-reported medians sit near $25,000 per year. Full detail in our Gem review.

Best for: In-house teams at 100–5,000-employee companies that run outbound campaigns.

Pros: Excellent sequences and analytics, growing all-in-one scope.

Cons: Enterprise pricing is not transparent; the ATS is younger than Greenhouse or Lever.

15. Breezy HR — Best User Experience for Small Teams

Overview: Breezy HR is the ATS people pick when hiring managers refuse to learn a tool. A drag-and-drop pipeline, automated scheduling, video screening and a free plan make it the easiest on-ramp on this list.

Key features:

  • Drag-and-drop visual pipeline
  • Automated scheduling and candidate self-booking
  • Video screening and background-check integrations
  • Job board multiposting and careers page
  • GDPR tools

Pricing (checked October 2026): Startup $157, Growth $273 and Business $439 per month on annual billing; $189, $329 and $529 month to month. The free Bootstrap plan allows one active position; paid plans have unlimited positions and a 14-day trial. See breezy.hr/pricing.

Best for: Companies under 200 employees that want hiring managers to self-serve.

Pros: Easiest interface on the list, free plan, good automation.

Cons: Lighter reporting and compliance than enterprise ATSs; no sourcing.

Recruiting Software Recommendations by Company Size

Startups and small businesses (1–50 employees)

  • Best ATS: Breezy HR or JazzHR. Both start under $200 per month (Breezy has a free plan, JazzHR a free trial), and neither needs an implementation project.
  • Best value: Zoho Recruit at $25 per user per month if you can live with the interface.
  • Best for sourcing: MindHunt AI on Lite ($29 per seat) when you need to find people who have not applied, and on Pro ($49) once you are revealing contacts every week.

Mid-market (50–500 employees)

  • Best ATS: Workable for breadth and speed; Lever if candidate relationships matter more than configuration.
  • Best for tech: Ashby, for the analytics alone.
  • Best HR-plus-hiring: BambooHR when the HRIS is the real purchase.
  • Best sourcing layer: MindHunt AI or Gem in front of the ATS, depending on whether you want contact data and multi-channel outreach (MindHunt) or sequences and pipeline forecasting (Gem).

Enterprise (500+ employees)

  • Best ATS: Greenhouse for structured hiring; SmartRecruiters for global, multi-entity hiring, especially on SAP.
  • Best for high volume: iCIMS.
  • Best sourcing: hireEZ for rediscovery inside a large ATS; LinkedIn Recruiter Corporate when budget is not the constraint; MindHunt AI Pro seats for distributed sourcing teams that want each recruiter on their own LinkedIn account with shared credits.

Recruiting Software Recommendations by Use Case

Recruitment agencies and search firms

You need a client side (companies, jobs, placements, invoices) and a candidate side in one system, plus sourcing. Recruit CRM and Zoho Recruit’s staffing edition cover the client side; MindHunt AI covers sourcing, contact data, outreach and a lighter client CRM at a lower per-seat price. Many small agencies run MindHunt for the outbound work and keep a CRM for billing. Our agency CRM comparison goes deeper.

In-house teams hiring from applications

If most of your hires come from inbound applications, the ATS is the purchase: Workable, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or JazzHR by size. Add a sourcing tool only for the roles that do not fill. If you want to test inbound hiring before paying for an ATS, MindHunt’s job board and applicant inbox are free on every plan; our inbound recruiting guide explains the setup.

High-volume hourly hiring

iCIMS and SmartRecruiters are built for it. Workable handles moderate volume well. Avoid sourcing-first tools here; the job is screening and scheduling, not finding.

Sourcing-first hiring (engineering, sales, niche roles)

The candidates you want are not applying. You need search, verified contact data and outreach on more than one channel. MindHunt AI, hireEZ and Gem are the sourcing-first options on this list; LinkedIn Recruiter is the database most of them sit beside. Our AI sourcing tools comparison ranks 13 of them in depth.

ATS vs Recruiting Software vs Recruiting CRM

An ATS manages applications: jobs, candidates, stages, interviews, offers. A recruiting CRM manages relationships with people who have not applied yet: talent pools, sequences, re-engagement. “Recruiting software” is the umbrella for both plus sourcing, screening and analytics. Most vendors above started on one side and added the other: Greenhouse and Workable are ATSs with CRM features; Gem and Lever are CRMs that grew an ATS; MindHunt AI and hireEZ are sourcing tools with pipeline management. If you are deciding which one you actually need, read Recruitment CRM vs ATS, and use the ATS buyer’s guide for the 14-point checklist before you sign.

How to Choose Recruiting Software

1. Count your hires, not your employees

Ten hires a year do not justify an enterprise ATS at any headcount. Fifty hires a year with three recruiters do. Price every option against hires per year and recruiter seats, and note the billing basis: per employee (BambooHR) punishes large teams that hire rarely, per user (Zoho, Recruit CRM, Gem, MindHunt) punishes large recruiting teams, flat monthly (Workable, JazzHR, Breezy) punishes nobody but caps job postings or headcount.

2. Decide whether sourcing is part of the purchase

Nine of the fifteen tools above do no outbound sourcing at all. If your hard roles need outbound, budget for a sourcing tool from day one rather than discovering the gap six months in.

3. Check the channels, not just the integrations

Integration counts are marketing. Ask instead: from inside the tool, can a recruiter email a candidate, message them on LinkedIn, text them on WhatsApp, and see the reply in one thread? Candidate response rates in 2026 depend on channel more than on copy.

4. Price the annual contract honestly

Most vendors on this list discount 10–24% for annual billing and several only sell annual. A $299 monthly price is $3,588 a year, and a “quote” from an enterprise vendor almost always comes with a 12-month minimum. Ask for the monthly option in writing if you want it.

5. Trial with a real role

Run one live requisition through your top two candidates. Ten of the fifteen tools above offer a trial or a free plan; for the rest, ask for a sandbox with your own data during the demo.

What Changed in Recruiting Software in 2026

Consolidation at the top

SAP closed its acquisition of SmartRecruiters in September 2025. Lever and JazzHR have sat inside Employ since 2022. iCIMS bought Apli for hourly-hiring AI. Recruitee rebranded as Tellent and withdrew its public price list, which is why it dropped off this year’s list. When a vendor is acquired, check whether its pricing page still exists before relying on last year’s comparison.

AI moved from a feature to a workflow

Two years ago “AI” meant a resume parser. In 2026 it means agents that source, screen and schedule: Workable’s AI Recruiter, SmartRecruiters’ Winston, Gem’s AI sourcing, MindHunt’s AI search and AI screening. The question to ask a vendor is what the AI is allowed to do without a human, and how you audit it. Our AI recruiting software guide has a seven-point checklist for that conversation.

Price lists reappeared, then rose

Gem, Ashby, Recruit CRM, BambooHR and Workable all publish prices now; JazzHR raised its own in February 2026. The vendors that still refuse to publish (Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, hireEZ) are the ones where buyer-reported figures diverge most from the first quote you will get.

Multi-channel outreach became table stakes for sourcing tools

Email alone no longer gets a reply from a passive candidate. Sourcing-first tools now ship LinkedIn messaging, WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram alongside email; ATSs mostly still do not. If outbound matters, this is the line that separates the two groups above.

Skills-based hiring in the ATS

Structured scorecards and skills taxonomies are standard on Greenhouse, Ashby and SmartRecruiters, in line with the shift from titles to skills that Korn Ferry has tracked across talent acquisition.

Conclusion

There is no best recruiting software, only the best one for the job you are actually hiring for. If your hires come from applications, buy an ATS sized to your headcount: Breezy or JazzHR, then Workable, then Greenhouse or SmartRecruiters. If your hires come from people you have to find, buy sourcing first: MindHunt AI from $29 per seat with email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram outreach built in, hireEZ for enterprise rediscovery, or Gem for in-house sequences. If you run an agency, Recruit CRM or Zoho Recruit for the client side and a sourcing tool in front. Whatever you pick, trial it with a real role before signing an annual contract.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does recruiting software cost in 2026?

Small-business ATSs cost roughly $85–$720 per month flat (JazzHR, Breezy HR, Workable). Per-user tools run $25–$170 per user per month (Zoho Recruit, Recruit CRM, Gem, MindHunt AI, LinkedIn Recruiter Lite). Enterprise platforms are quoted on annual contracts: buyer-reported typical contracts run from about $15,000 a year (Lever, SmartRecruiters Essential) through $20,000 (iCIMS) to $27,000–$62,500 (Greenhouse), with large enterprises paying far more.

What is the best recruiting software for small business?

For managing applications, Breezy HR (from $157 per month, with a free plan) or JazzHR (about $83 per month billed annually). For finding candidates who have not applied, MindHunt AI from $29 per seat per month. Zoho Recruit at $25 per user per month is the cheapest full ATS and CRM if you can accept its interface.

What is the difference between an ATS and recruiting software?

An applicant tracking system manages candidates who applied: jobs, stages, interviews, offers. Recruiting software is the wider category that also covers sourcing (finding people who did not apply), contact enrichment, outreach, screening and analytics. Every ATS is recruiting software; most recruiting software is not a full ATS.

Which recruiting software includes candidate sourcing?

Of the fifteen compared here, six do outbound sourcing: MindHunt AI, LinkedIn Recruiter, hireEZ, Gem, Recruit CRM (through its extension and your own LinkedIn account) and Workable’s AI Recruiter in a limited form. The others manage inbound applications and expect you to bring a sourcing tool.

Is AI recruiting software worth it?

It is worth it where the AI replaces a task you measure: hours spent searching, screening applications, or writing first messages. It is not worth paying for as a label. Ask the vendor which steps run without a human and what the audit trail looks like, and measure time-to-shortlist on one role before and after. Our AI recruiting software guide covers the adoption data and a vendor checklist.
